Man, this is a whole lot of nothing here. Where are all the exhaust sound or video clips??? My excuse is that my car has been in the shop having custom pipes and misc welding done. But ASA I get it back, I'm gonna post a clip. Mine sounds BITCHIN. Anyhow, come on guys. Or is it that you JUST DON'T OWN a 7? Get out there and video it!!!

Make sure you rev it too. What's the use of just an idle? We need both.

There are a lot of places here in the US that have this thing called "winter". We get this white stuff on the ground for a few months. So, we use that time to tear our cars apart.

Excellent thread. I really like the Borla XR-1, RB dual tip combo. Excuse my ignorance, but could anyone please tell me how it was done? As far as I know, the Borla XR-1 is an exhaust itself...but so is the RB dual tip.

They are puting the XR-1 in in place of the CAT as a silenced MIDPIPE.

what's a "winter"? here in california, it's been like 60s here...pretty dry....

yep, i had the borla muffler welded in place of the midpipe. actually, i have the midpipe still. the muffler shop took some piping and flanges and welded everything together and fitted it into place.

Ok, thanks guys. Does anyone have a sound clip of the RB dual-tip, with silenced or regular midpipe? I'm asking so I can compare it to the XR-1/RB dual-tip combo. Looking for anything similar to that.

RXTASY1's link does work. I have cable internet and it still takes 45-60 seconds to load up before it plays. I'm ignorant on the subject, but maybe there's a different format that isn't as large, so it would play faster.

the file is only 3mb...it shouldnt take a minute to download 3mb on broadband connection...it's most likely server traffic or bandwidth...either way, i still thank him for hosting the files.

cjarrett, i'll see what i can do about taking video clips of inside the car while driving...maybe i can start my in-car camera mount project after all...

I had the same problem, but if I right clicked the link and saved them they worked fine. Just thought I'd mention it.

we need to get some sound/video clips of a 7 with either of Tanabe's exhaust systems. They sound amazing on Supras and I've heard they sound good on FDs as well. However there is a VERY small amount of people running them on their cars......
