Exhaust Temp Sensor?

When I first got my car, the exhaust light was off. When I got my car home, the exhaust light went on. I got the car on a hoist, an this wire was hanging from the inside of the car an scraping along the ground. Just wondering if its the exhaust temp sensor or what. Its off my 92 FD.

please help me!!

Never seen that before on an FD. Looks aftermarket. The exhaust sensor overheat for an FD is located under the passenger seat, with one bolt holding it to the floor.

Don't know what you have there dragging the ground.

yes that's the exhaust temp sensor wire, i have a 92 jdm fd looks exactly the same, i just jumped the two wires together when i swapped out the exhaust so light would go out. no bolts holding it to the floor on my fd.

thanks to the guys with the JDM fd's. I called Mazda today in Winnipeg. It was a joke, they said it was probably something from the US that needed to pass smog, and there "tech guy" never heard of something like that. Bunch of useless "certified technicians"

anyway, where do I find one of these?

and to the US guys...my passenger side is on the left, in Canada we can import JDM cars!! Woo for us

JDM Junk

^ +1 Add me to the fun! ... Men are pigs, eh?

P.S. Most JDM vehicles have this Catalytic converter overheat warning light.
My FD and my Z32 have it. I could not figure it out for a while, because USDM cars don’t have this system, and dealers don't know about it. It warns you when temps in the cat get too high. I guess that can be caused by running too rich or too lean.
