If you don't do the work and find a used parts car it'll take more $$ to put it back together than it is worth. If you have a parts car and can do the work it might be worth it. It is pretty well cooked under the hood.

I think $5K is reasonable for that car. If you look at the rest of the car, it looksto be in tip top condition. She just needs some love and a new re-man and..a few other bits and pieces.

A re-man is just a short block -- that car will require damn near EVERYTHING under the hood replaced -- that's a LOT of time and money. That car is much better destined for a single turbo race car or a V8 conversion.

I'm a purist :p That's why I added "a few other bits and pieces'

Hard to convey mild sarcasm through text though

Well, that depends on your patience, skill level, and funding.

As previously stated, this car would require alot of money and time to get it back to running, with any engine in it. IF you love to work on cars, and you're not dying to drive immediately, it could be a very fun and rewarding project.

I'm in the market myself, but I'm planning on finding a car with a recently replaced engine and otherwise stock , or a car with a blown engine, and possibly good turbos. I've got friends that can help me with the R&R. But I'm not willing to go quite so far as to sink as much money and time as would be required for that car.

Just my .02

If your even the slightest bit iffy on building this car then don't do it. Save your money and buy a running car. This project is not for someone who has never picked up a wrench before.

Did you see the 93 VR for $9900? Is that in your price range? That looked like a pretty good deal to me.

this car is not your average fixer upper. I dont believe you know what is involved in fixing this car. It need a new everything under the hood. New mounts, turbos, all harnesses and connectors, basically everything that a remain doesnt come with. All the **** that would be a real pain in the *** to track down. Dont buy it!

So, you think he will take 4?? rofl

You will need a new fron clip as stated above an engine is just the block and you need "everything". Personaly, I think it's only worth $4k. The front clip below is $7k and you're looking at what $2k in labor and unexpected.

You dont buy this type of a car if labor is a factor.

also, if you know where to look, you can piece together everything you need for much less than that.
