Engine Problems: "Water Pumper," the engine's o-rings have failed.

Can someone please help me quickly on what this means and what it means for the life of the engine

I read a few times that the o rings are one of the most important seals on the car and that if they are bad the car leaks oil and lots of it and you have to keep adding some all of the time

the car I am looking at has almost 63K and I dont know how long it has had this problem
Will I have to get a new motor soon after I buy the car because if so I can't afford to get it
thanks

depends what o ring...if it's the ones under the oil filter it's an easy fix. With water pumper i think he means water pump...which isn't too hard. At 63k miles the car shouldn't have overheating problem...if it has overheated don't buy it, ever

Coolant o-rings=engine rebuild.
All the honda comments are because people get sick of seeing the same questions from folks that don't search, and because hondas are good, reliable cars. Rx7's are good, not-so reliable cars.

yeah coolant o rings = new motor or the copper block that's getting more popular

and the rx-7 isn't too bad if you watch the heat...i think a temperature gauge is even more important than a boost gauge...and do a fan mod. You can control your coolant temp level with a temp gauge and fans

guys thanks for all of your help
Nope im interested in a rx7 not a honda
I heard that it is a better deal to go with a reman instead of a rebuild with this problem because the rotors may be warped
isnt it about the same price for both? why not a reman engine?
dont worry once I get the car and its running I will take very very good care of it
thanks
