empty button nxt to defrost
empty button nxt to defrost
Hello,
In the center console there is a empty button next to the defrost. Actually its not a button but looks as though one is to go there. Underneith it after poping off the console there is a wire connector connecting up to it. Since there is no function on the center button do I need those wires that are attached up to it? Or did mazda run wire just incase you wanted to add an option? I want to put a turboxs toggle switch there but would have to remove those wires.
Also anyone have any idea what the wire going underneith and up into the drivers seat is for? My seats are manual and i cant figuer out why there is wire going up into them.
Thanks

The empty middle buttom was for the few models equiped with headlamp washing systems (I think this was Canada and a few others). The wire going up to the driver's seat is either a connection for a seat warmer, lumbar support adjustment, or some safety equipment that was for the japanese models. I had asked this question before and those 3 options where what we came up with.
In other words, you could use the empty switch for anything you please without any consequences what-so-ever.
