Emblem Removal

So I have replaced the stock Mazda emblems with the efini versions (front and back). I did this because in Illinois the FD is very rare and I love to see people wonder what kind of car I have. I actually don't plan on putting the rear "RX-7" emblem back on. I feel that this will further help the confusion.

I got the main emblems off rather easily. The rear emblem was a bit of a challenge. I removed the center tail light section and took the tork screws off of the bumper cover and slid a screwdriver in there to remove the bear clips. No problem. Thank you to the previous posts!

My question is this. Any tricks to getting at the back of the "Mazda" emblem that sits on the passenger side of the rear bumper cover? I can't seem to get at the back of that one. I know it is held on by a couple of pins and bear clips, but can't seem to get at them easily.

theres a small rubber stopper from inside the trunk area almost perfectly behind where the badge is attached. u'll be able to reach the pins from there gl it took me a while. i ended up snapping off the pins, its easier than taking off those circular washer things.

You can also remove the tail-lights and remove the rest of the Torx screws. That will allow the top of the bumper to be pulled out enough to get to the back of the emblem.

The word "Mazda" is stick-on but it also has three pegs that go through the bumper and have fasteners on the other side. The only emblem that is truly stick-on with no fasteners is the word "RX-7"

On my two 93's the word MAZDA did NOT have the press on clips on them. Looked like the holes just lined it up. The Center wings enblem had retainers
