eliminating the sequential part of the turbos

I was wondering if it can be done?? I'd like to stick with the normal operation fo the turbos for everyday driving at slightly higher boost. However, I would like to go non-sequential at the drag strip with the same boost. Is this something that can be done or is it one or the other?
Anyone know if the Apexi PFC can do this?

pfc u can just swich the sequental on and off...
asside from that it can be set up as a reversable process, but its not a quick swap. if u do the " poormans non-seq mod" its just a few wires and hoses and your seq again....

Lenny,

Are you telling me you can just shut off the seqential operation? without wiring anything open like the pre-control door...???

i think he is mistaken. you can't choose if you want sequential or no-sequential just from the PFC.

I agree..it's not quite that easy..the correct way to do it..is not to do the poor mans method...besides I think this person should drive a non-seq FD first... I bet you 10 bucks..he'll stay sequential.. Non-seg is most likely not going to give you anything at the strip...track as high rpms..maybe..but 1/4 mile....nah

well i dont have the pfc, but ive heard from more than 2 people u can just go into the settings and just shut the sequental off and go non seq...but like i said i dont have pfc...i had pettit but now have haltec...

i was non seq for all but 3months of the time ive owned my fd..i love it 100% no compliucated vac lines boost problems took no-time to diagnose...imho way better than seq system...
i never wanted to go back to seq..but i always said if i had a perfect working seq system i would of never went non...

the power bands all there, with the porting i did to my manifold, and with dp mp and nurspec in 3third gear id get full boost my 3800
no dangerous dip in the middle, just smooth power to redline

So it is possible, just not a good idea...
How much power are the stock turbos good for?as they are from the factory. no porting or anything.

no it is not possible to go back and forth with the flip of a switch. there is a setting on the pfc for non seq if you have converted manually to non seq so that it does not try to control the 2nd turbo separately. not sure what would happen if you selected non-seq with seq turbos.

Unless you eliminate the controls for the changeover it cant be done.
Nothing out there that kinda fools/tricks the system?
How much of a diference in lag is there between a single or stock non-sequential set ups?
