Eliminating the power steering pump

Hey,

I wanted to know from those who have eliminated your power steering pump and converted it to manual. Are you experiencing it very hard to turn the wheel or is it somewhat hard. I feel like I'm turning the wheel of a 1926 car!!

Can anyone tell how did it and there results?
Thanks
Diego
