hey, I want to get rid of my moo, but since clubrx is down I have a question. Could I just take off that hose from the intake, cap the hole, and leave the hose from the airpump without a cap with holes on it and just let it blow air to the atmospheré

Best Dollar ever spent. Its been a week and so far so good. I drilled 4 holes then eight little tiny holes to get the max air flow. A+++

Ok, I may have messed something up here.. I didn't notice that the cap should have vent holes. I went around the block and my check engine light came on and the ECU went into limp mode. I checked the code.. 2 long blinks and 7 short.. 27. I looked up code 27 and it says "Metering Oil Pump". Any ideas??

Sorry for the 2 year bump, but I must thank this forum for it's helpful posts.

Did this mod today and finally, my car is de-Moo'ed

I used a cutoff bicycle handle as a plug, which I drilled holes into. Cheapness rules, and it works!!!!

EDIT: Sorry for the bump folks.

I was thinking of the wrong hoses. The only pipe that needs to be capped is the one right next to the intake manifold correct?

and if longblocks generally come with them . and what it looks like for that matter ..

I'm sorry for resurrecting this thread but curiosity really got the better of me .. and after 45 minutes of reading the wrong info I'm about to pass out .. if someone wants to tell me what it does! GREAT THANKS!

if not its ok! i'll search some more tomorrow.

also the link is brokeen! =(

All the air pump does is inject air into the exhaust to help with emissions.

Sorry to necrorevive this thread...

I have to erase the MOOOOOOOOOOO on Aftermarket airfilter....

I have a similar setup (different brand but same hose....)

I have to put the "drilled" restrictor in the signed hose? correct?

If I disconnect electric connector on airpump i have same effect against the MOOOOOOOO?

I ask this becouse here there isn't problem with emission test, but i have no time to remove the air pump

Wrong hose, you want it on the output hose from the airpump. That's the long hose just to the left of the one you circled.

Go get some 7/8" rubber chair caps. Remove that hose. Cap the intake side. Take another chair cap and drill 3-4 small holes in it. Put that on the engine side of that hose you removed. Make sure to clamp it on. Done.

The one that is connected on the upper part of the filter???

I can't understand......the output hose from air pump don't go to the catalyzer?

Why 2 caps in that hose?

One drilled and the other one???

BTW disconnect electric connector on pump solve the mooo problem or i need either way the caps?

thank you
