Efini Y-Pipe Install help???ASAP
Hey, I took off the crosover pipe, the 2 bolts on the stock y pipe, the 2 lines that go to the y pipe (1 vac and one looks like coolant/oil, i dunno) is there anything else i need to take off to be able to pull it out. Its stuck in the part where the end with the 0 ring on it goes. Any help would be appreciated, i want to be able to drive my baby tomorrow.
you have to remove the lower pipe that comes from the turbos also. check www.robrobinette.com

no
I'd say no not really. Maybe a really slight increase in boost response. Some have claimed a little higher boost (which should be more HP) but hp increases are marginal at best. It definately does not hurt anything.
Good luck dude, the y pipe stuck to install, all I can suggest is to keep on pulling. Taking out the air pump will help with the installation. What's even worst then taking it out is putting it back it.
P.S. I doubt that you will pick up any hp if your old Y-Pipe was not leaking.

bill, i got it, its all good. i had to get more 0 rings, the other ones were to big and they were gettin cut in half when i tried to put the pipe in. everythings fine, i got a little bit more boost alot faster, so i gotta recalibrate the boost controller, but its fine now. thanks for the replies
it eliminates..
the all too frequent occurence of boost leak from a worn coupler...replacing it with a gasketed flange...
some have noticed an increase in boost but i hesitate in considering this as fact as i dont know of anyone that has tested this claim..
