Efini Y-Pipe or Greddy Elbow?

The wife wants to get me a xmas present for the car, and I've narrowed it to these 2. I'm leaning towards the Y-pipe, any suggestions? I also have hard pipes on my wish list, but I thought the y-pipe would be something to ask for first.

The greddy elbow only need to be used if you get an intercooler that won't work with your stock elbow. Get the Efini y-pipe. Its an obvious choice

So the elbow doesn't improve airflow huh? guess I was mistaken about that part then.

Thanks guys, I know what to tell her now

I think my father-in-law is getting me a roll bar too! I've been good this year!

you gain anywhere from half to maybe 1 psi from the y pipe.Depending whether or not you have a leak.

I never upgraded my y-pipe so I can't speak from experience but I would get an exhaust or an intake before the y-pipe. I just put an aftermarket coupler on mine and had no issues with leaks...I actually didn't even before that but did it just for the heck of it. I would get the $45 ebay hard pipes and K&N filters.

Well, the exhaust is a bit much for a single present, she's already spent money on other present too, so $500 for the RB dual tip i want is out.

I'll just tell her the Y-Pipe.

Wow, you must have nice in-laws!

Oh, and get the y-pipe. Power gains>bling

Plus with the y-pipe you wont have to worry about the coupler splitting and causing a boost leak.

screw the y pipe. go single. new exhaust manifold completely. gains for y pipe are very very minimal.

Haha, I doubt I'll ever go single, but if I were to do so, it'd be a long time from now anyway.

I can't verify the increase in 1 psi myself from putting on an efini y-pipe, but I've heard many who claimed that (I have a PFC, so it wouldn't let me boost higher than what it's set at). But, I can tell you the car pulled MUCH stronger when I put it on. It felt like there was new spark in her life lol. Or maybe that's the HKS Twin Power that I put on @ the same time lol...but in any case, my vote's for the y-pipe. Just keep in mind you're gonna have to take off the airpump to get to the y-pipe, which means you might as well get rid of the airpump and get a Greddy Pulley Set while you're at it

What would that do for my emissions here in VA if I pulled the air pump off entirely? Would the car still pass?
