Question Efini y pipe and air pump....

I was on ROBROBINETTEs site and his install procedure is without an air pump....


am i supposed to take the air pump off and then put it back on or I dont even HAVE to take off the air pump???

I am about to do it and had a question about that..

anyone help?

I think it would be easier to install efini y-pipe if you take it off. It's not that hard to take it off either. Just 2 screws.

Just did this yesterday. I took the air pump off just because it's so easy. You'll also have to remove the intake air pipe to the rear turbo, best to do this from under the car (2x10mm nuts, also simple). Then loosen the the 2x10mm nuts on the rear portion of the stock Y-pipe and voila!

Yeah I did this last week, and it was much easier to do with the air pump off. More space anyway. and it's only held up by 2 bolts.

You have to remove the airpump. Robinettes site doesn't mention it. Probably because he didn't have one on the car.

man....forget about even putting those air pumps back on...those freaking things are terrible for your eyes. you just get done adding some engine "bling" as they call it, and you have to put that thing on there. why even try to dress up the engine?
