Efini Steering Wheel Question

Is Efini steering wheel any smaller in diameter than stock steering wheel from 93-95 FDs? Where could I find the sizes for efini and stock wheels? Thanx.

It should be the same size if not an inch bigger. If you would like to find out for sure go to www.jt-imports.com I know that Jason carries most all of the steering wheels from Mazda and Efini. Happy hunting. Laterz.

The size wont bother me. The Efini steering wheel does'nt have cruise control button on it. I know its not somthing that you use all the time with a manual but I would like to keep it.

I just compared it and efini steering wheel is slightly smaller.. I mean very slightly smaller.. Say 5-8mm smaller.. So, you could say they are about the same..

if you can do any kind of wiring, you could always relocate the cruise controls somewhere else.

Horns are over rated!! hehe. Maybe Jimlab would like to chime in on that one since he is running one. I personally would go for the Mazda OEM '99 spec wheel since it should still have the horn button and it looks very close to the Efini unit. Maybe that's just my taste though.

The Efini steering wheel has a built-in horn button in the center.

what about the 99 spec nardi wheel. I want to get the newer wheel, but would rather the wheel get smaller than bigger. It looks like there are 2 99 spec wheels in that picture, but they also look like they are different sizes? Which is bigger? Same size?

Spirit R has red stitching.. but I believe they are same size as 99+ M logo Nardi wheel...

They all are about the same.. You are talking about less than 15mm max in different sizes.. I'll check the actural difference.. since I have all 5 OEM steering wheels..

I have a non airbag efini wheel. Love it, but it sits uninstalled as my wife seems to feel the airbag is impotent or important or something.

It is important.. I ended up installing the M logo nardi into my car.. just in case.. Also, for those of you whom are thinking about the M logo Nardi.. you could put Miata M logo Nardi to your FD.. and also the air bag itself are interchangeable between Miata M, Miata older Nardi, FD M, and FD older Nardi bags..

Herblenny, I know that you are right, thats why I didn't push the issue. One of the original reasons I put 5 pt harnesses in the car was so I could switch wheels, and for my nonexistant drag runs or fantasy road racing career. Still for now, I know the airbag needs to stay.

Hey, now I am happy, my signature finally appeared. Now it seems pathetic though compared to some on this board. I guess I will have to add my mods or a witty quote.
