Ebay Strut Bar IS worth it!!!

For 5 bucks plus 15 shipping, i figured what the hell. Got it in 5 days and put it on. Install was easy as hell. I had to bend my BOV mounting bracket for it to fit. Other than that there were no fittament issues(to my surprise). After the install i hammered a few twisties, and the car felt much better through the turns. No body roll at all. For 20 bucks, this is a great/cheap easy mod. DO it!

Any strut bar will be a significant improvement. Personally, I don't think that the more expensive bars provide a measurable difference in performance. To me its a matter of what you want to see when you open the hood. I would NEVER put a bright red R1 bar under my hood, unless I had a red car. But thats me

No strut bar is going to do a damned thing for body roll...

Exactly. The improvements I noticed were that the front end of the car felt more solid, especially in a bumpy corner.

And the big red bar looks good under the hood, for those superficial moments...

Can you post a link to which seller did you buy the strut bar from? I'm interested in seeing which one you bought that fit well.

well after installing/removing/installing my 3 point strut bar on my FC it did reduce body roll.

This might be do to the fact that the chasis will not flex and put more pressure on the suspension reducing roll (my suspension is pretty stiff).

I'm not a suspension guru but for me it made a noticable difference and firmed the front up.

I bought the driving gear one off ebay for $7 plus $10 shipping and I am perfectly happy with it. It made much less of a difference in the car than keith's differential brace (made a huge difference in the feel of the car - 2 thumbs up).

And I dont think that is because I only spent $7 on it. I think it is something you should have - every little bit helps - and you should like what you see when you open your hood but you would be hard pressed to convince me that a $150 bar would give me better performance. For those who bought the stock bar because it is what they wanted - good for you. For those who bought the ebay bar - well done. For those of you without a bar get an ebay bar! What can it hurt?

Quit trying to show off your blingin engine bay (which I know looks very nice btw), I know you are not going to sell the bar. J/k

I bought an ebay bar and I felt a significant improvement difference. The one I bought (it was $35 total), looks near identical to the polished R1 bar.

What's the differance between a $10 piece of billet aluminum and a $100 piece of aluminum??

The owner of the $100 piece of metal can justify his retarded spending as much as he wants, but it still doesn't make it any better.

You should not question why someone sounds ignorant in this manner. Look at what you wrote. Do you think that makes you look anything but ignorant yourself?

So do you mind posting a link to the actual strut bar you purchased? I would like to know which one actually fit well.

Are any of the cheaper strut bars (like the ebay one) adjustable? Cuz the R1/R2 strut bars are...

Also, I've seen one of those strut bars before, and while I don't know how much more or less effective it is, it's MUCH thinner and lighter than the R1/R2 strut bar. The R1/R2 is pretty thick and heavy. Gave me the impression that it was very sturdy as to do it's job well...
