i got mine off of ebay, and i felt a major difference, evne if i only spent 10 bucks.

 

whered u get that shroud that keeps the hot air from the radiator from goin to ur intakes?

 

Lowe's "automotive deparment". I used some cardboard and a dremel and it was very easy to do.

 

just ordered mine due to this post!!! Hopefully it will make a difference, but for $20 bucks with shipping you cant beat it!

I think I've got the exact same strut bar, maybe the best $30 I've spent on my car, besides gas or oil of course.

aww, darn it. i got one...but the previous owner of my fd apparently stripped the bolt heads on the towers.

anyone know how to deal with stripped bolt heads?

oh, as for the the bar itself...its pretty darn solid. i read some post in anohter thread saying it was flimsy or bendable by your bare hands....it's not. its pretty darn rock solid.

Yeah i think they are flimsy and bendable if you happen to get gigantic and trun green when you get angy...I think I saw him do that once on worlds stongest man

 

you should put a filter on your airpump if you plan on keeping it .

 

hey thanks for the reply about the stripped bolt heads. i used the search button, i dont know why i never saw that thread before.

but, boy, it sure seems like a lot of work that that guy did...i, just like him, thought it was gonna be just a couple minutes to install that brace bar. when i found stripped bolts...gah. but unlike him, i just skipped those hours of work and went straight for the beer, and TV. the brace bar is sitting in the garage beside the car

 

did that already but the air pump comes out next week tho

 

if its just 1 stripped stud you could probably get away with being really lazy and just chopping it off. very lazy though

 

those strut bars work just as good as the r1 bars. but the ebay sb is definatly not built as well. but not that it really matters either. its a great buy for $30.
