Ease my paranoia of smoking out the Naval Base

So I have not started my batmobile in almost a month and today I finally fired up my girlfriend. As she started, white smoke (maybe blue) where pluming out of my exhaust and from under my hood. I literally smoked out the whole base from my exhaust start-up and she sounded beautiful however. As I continued driving after she was warm, still smoking out the base, she all of the sudden stopped smoking.

I am sick and cranky with the flu and I just want someone to tell me that my girlfriend is ok so I have one less thing to worry about!

she should be ok, just make sure your not losing any oil or coolant. Does it always smoke when you start it?

I had a shot coolant seal inside the engine that caused white smoke on startup for about 5 minutes and would suddenly stop. It would do this every time the engine was cooled down. Hopefully yours is just cleaning out any left over debis from sitting.
When you say "smoked out" Mine was so bad that I stopped cars from driving by just to make sure everything was Okay haha! Hard to believe a 1.3 litre can cause something this extreme.

Things to check for:
Loss of coolant
Bubble's rising from the filler neck( Take cap off to check this when cold)
If possible, when the car is cold, turn the engine over slowly and listen for the sound of liquid and compression at the same time. (Sounds like someone SHarted!) you can crank the engine over with a socket on the alternater.

Not sure if the link still works but here's a quick video of my car starting:

it smokes a little bit when i start it, but that is because it runs a little rich when i first start. today was a different story, i litterally smoked out the whole barracks parking lot, the commissary and the whole road leading to my command. i just hope that it was just cleaning everything out...

My car sat for a good 5-6 months before I started driving it again. Upon startup, it took a while to crank and had a lot of white smoke that came out. I immediately thought the engine was shot, but after a while it went away and ran normally. It didn't do it again after that, so I'm guessing it just had to shake off the cobwebs.

That's what I was thinking, and then I started thinking while the page was loading "And these are the people defending our country?"
