E-shaft micropolish? Should I?

Here's my link to the thread in the rotary performance section.

https://www.rx7club.com/rotary-car-performance-77/micropolish-eccentric-shaft-will-mess-bearing-clearance-466068/

There's only 4 or 5 posts and its been there for a while so I'm pretty sure I'll get tons more responses in this section. If it helps I have a 93 13B-REW e-shaft. Just post here or there with responses I'll be checking both. Thanks in advance.

Never heard of this micropolishing. What exactally is it, and what would you gain by doing it?

Micropolishing increases the fatigue life of shafts and other high stress components that aren't subject to scratching from external sources.

Given that I've never heard of an e-shaft breaking under the hood of any streetable RX-7, I vote for waste of money.

Since this isn't 3rd gen specific I'm closing it too. Refer to the original thread.
