Dynojet Troubleshooting???
Dynojet Troubleshooting???
Well guys I have been troubleshooting my car since July and have tested everything within my limits. I still believe the issue to be with the ignition or fuel even though I have tested, swapped, or replaced everything in the ignition system. I havent really tested the fuel system much because I dont see it to likely be the fuel, but it is possible. Thing is, is that the car doesnt blow any dark smoke upon acceleration, actually doesnt blow any smoke at all. So, before I spend the cash and drive 9 hours to Pettit, im going to put the car on a local performance shops Dynojet. But he does not have an ignition scope. He does however have the wideband o2, this shop has never worked on an Rx7 before but works on twin turbo Z06's, mustangs, lightnings etc... He says that even though he has never worked on a 7, that ignition is ignition, and fuel delivery is fuel delivery, whether its on a twin turbo "Jap" car or a twin turbo domestic. I am also going to have my local friend, (experienced Mazda tech.) from California, come by to take a look at things. I was just wanting to get some suggestions on what maybe to look for, and possibly some info from anyone that has had their car on a Dynojet....
Thanks, jamie

Basically when I tip in the throttle, the car does not accelerate. The boost is there on the gauge with a perfect boost pattern. And the the turbos are new 99 efinis, engine is new and stage 3 from Pineapple. There is alot more but check my previous posts please cuz it is alot of typing thanks!
Putting your car on the dyno jet isnt really going to tell you anything but A/F rations, and that will be almost useless if they cant plot RPM.
I'm assuming you checked all the small stuff, map sensor, boost leaks?
Who installed your motor? are you sure the plug wires arent crossed? are the coils hooked up right?
Check to see if the wastegate is stuck open?
I havent read any of your other posts, so i'm just guessing.

ijneb, yeah man i have checked all of those things. I installed everything myself and took my time being very meticulous cleaning every part, and replaced everything with new parts. The guy that owns the dyno said he would be able to get a good idea of what the air/fuel is doing.....

Where do you have your boost gauge hooked up ?
It could be something as simple as having boost gauge hooked up at Y-pipe and then having a major boost leak after it (although a lot of boost would be impossible to have that way).
