Ooops

Ok I need to back down a bit. I taked to my friend about this and he siad he is running 13-14 psi with pump gas and 14-15 with race gas and his turbos are lasting ok. He told me to keep it under 12 becasue I have the stock IC and stock injectors. So, I was wrong. Maybe I can get closer to 300 rwhp. Muwhahahha

that's the main reason i went to the dyno was to see exactly what kind of a/f i was lookin at and stuff so i wouldn't hurt anything. i really like the adjustability of the pfc, i suggest it to anyone lookin for a new ecu. the pettit ecu and such are nice, but not when you're constantly changing stuff

Well normally most people dont run 15psi on the stock IC, one reason is its a huge bottle neck over 12ish psi of boost. Also the stock STYLE filter is a huge bottle neck, what i mean by that the the square filters (even the K&N) dont flow that much.

Personally I think at 15psi of boost you should be making at least 350 at the wheels. I'd swap than air box for a intake with 2 K&N's and turn it down to 13psi till you get another IC.

With all the bolt ones running 15psi will be extremely dangerous on stock fuel, 14 is the max. When you get the intake and IC installed turn it down to 13 and you should be making about 330-340ish.

BTW - these guys are right that 15psi is very dangerous on the stock IC

Good luck,
STEPHEN

Just depends on luck and duration. I hit 14.7psi....really close to 15psi last winter on stock fuel system and pettit ecu. Thing is I let off immediately when I saw my gauge jump like a ***** up there whew....scared the ever loving @%*^ out of me though

well that's just it, I was racing my buddy's WS6 and I did about 4 full throttle runs in rapid succession and the last run did me in....I don't think it necessarily ran lean or it would have let go the first run (same boost each time and I never hit fuel cut), I just think the turbos got super hot and caused detonation (as well as increased engine heat)

bottom line is, the stock turbos aren't made to push that kind of boost pressure without producing excessive heat, you need the BNR twins, like money bags Rich is getting, or a single

just kiddin Rich...I know the military pays big coin

edit: forgot to mention I pulled pretty easy on the WS6 every time, but he got the last laugh....we were just goofing around
