coil upgrade?

pulled out my leading coil, tested with multimeter and sure enough it's fried( that would explain my 14 second et's last time at track). i bought the car with a crane amplifier on the leading, so i assume this is the cause.
are there any aftermarket coils that will bolt in, or should i go with a new stock coil and take the crane out? thanx in advance-garrett

I think that HKS makes one, I think it's the twin power, or is that something else? I'm not sure, just thought maybe I could say that as the least. I would also like to know so when it comes my time I could just upgrade it.

The HKS twin power is an ignition amp, not a coil.

It depends on how much HP you are pushing. If you are still running stock turbos, I would say that the stock coils are fine, maybe with an ignition amp. If you are running a high HP (single turbo) set up, I would switch to an aftermarket ignition (sim. to MSD).

Not too sure on other experiences with the Crane amp.

From others' testimonials, the TII coil is bulletproof.

Yes the TII coil is very good BUT your Crane is prob still going to fry it. If I were you I'd keep the Crane amp and go with 2 Crane coils
