Dual bosch pump setup (with *pix*)
Well after losing an engine last fall to a fuel issue, I came up with this which I believe will be the "end all" fuel setup for this car. It is basically two separate fuel systems that share one return line. Enjoy...
Dual Bosch 044 pumps
100micron pre filters
Performance GM 5micron post fuel filters (designed to handle 100psi)
Each pump feeds separate 3/8in steel lines which each lead to one fuel rail respectively.
Return lines off the rails then feed into either side of an aeromotive FPR and return through the stock return line.
I decided that running a sump towards the back of the tank would require a sump too large for ground clearance. So I kept the stock internal sump and basically added a small sump to the bottom of it.
I cut a large hole towards the rear of the internal plastic sump and tank, then removed it until the welding was finished. It was then resecured inside the tank with rivets.
I have run this setup very hard for a few weeks now with no problems whatsoever. Pumps run very quiet and cool :-)
Pics are a little blury:

The two pumps should out flow even the aeromotive eliminator while being much quieter than race pumps like weldon or BG. The down side is I spent more on filters and fittings than the pumps themselves. That AN stuff adds up! Trust me.

Definitely not the "end all" setup as you put it, but pretty nice. My "end all" setup would include a fuel cell and surge tank at the minimum. Regardless though, nice setup

Nice setup! was curious about a few things.... do you have them both on all the time or is one hooked up with a hobs switch or something?... and Are you running separate relays for each pump or just one 40 amp relay for both pumps?...
