drv side oil cooler with R1/R2 hoses

Has anyone tried to use a driver-side oil cooler on the passenger side and just use the R1/R2 hoses to hook them up?

I've got a spare driver-side oil cooler from a touring model and wanted make a dual setup like the R1/R2. Brackets probably need to fabricated or modifed and I'm hoping I could just use hoses from a R1/R2.

i highly doubt they will fit because the lines will not be long enough to reach the oil coolers. this is because the driver and passenger side coolers are mirror images of each other and using a driver's side on the passenger side would make the hoses try to stretch to the far side of the oil cooler instead of the near side. if you could lengthen the lines i think it could be done. i would just keep looking for a used one though. this is all assuming you can modify the brackets ok which should only take a little bit of welding.
