I'm pretty happy. Finally drove my car for the first time since April. Problem after problem, fabrication after fabrication, I thought I'd never drive my baby again til today. I wanna give special thanks to Wayne (Phase2), Mike (BlackR1), and even ghey TTTeddy. My car started from stock and now I have an HKS dp, Apexi FMIC, Apexi Intake, N-Tech battery, Racing Beat catback. After driving for 5 miles I feel like a 10 yr old at Toys R Us.

I do have 2 problems:
1) When I put a little gas and let go of the peddle I hear a strange growling sound from my catback. I'm wondering if that's a break in sound or if something is wrong.
2) Backfire... I backfire like crazy now. I do have an Apexi PFC that I haven't installed yet, I'm hoping that'll lower down the backfire.

well that's good to hear hopefully i will have the same experience tomorrow!!! although mine has been sitting for a lot longer than that. it's really quite depressing sometimes but hey it teaches you patience

 

Are you sure 1.) isn't coming from the intake?


At any rate congrats and I know how good it feels to leave a car sitting for months and then drive it with even more performance then it had. Bet it feels like the first time driving it all over again..

BTW, my car was down for 8 or 9 months before so I know how it is.. I think alot of us are there at sometime or another..

 

hmm it could be coming from the intake. I'll have to check it out. Wow I was starting to go crazy at 4 months. I dont know how you guys do it past 7 months. I was getting more and more depressed until I finally drove it and it was worth the wait.

Gotta love them lotaries. Make sure you put the PFC on before you do lots of driving... dp, catback, intake, and FMIC isnt that safe on the stock ecu. Don't need you blowing up your engine...it's in that 80-100k zone

I know my car can be dirty at times...but damn...i hope you cleaned that car up!

 

oh my baby is goin for the Platinum treatment at this hand wash place near my house... I still gotta do a few nicks and nacks here and there and she'll be 100%.
