Can anyone please describe these mods to me?

I had this request in another thread, but thought it might make more sense to start a new one. Im considering purchasing an FD, but would like info on the mods that have been performed on it... Can somebody describe what they are and the "depth" of the mod?

1994 RX7 PEG Red w black leather. 85,000 miles w 8000 on new mazda rebuild engine. paint and body in very nice condition. photos avail. SSR Integrals A2 wheels. 17X8.5 front, 17x9 rear. Yoko AVS Sport tires 235x45 zr 17 front (half tread), 275x45 zr 17 rear need replacement. EBC (green) brakepads stainless steel downpipe, main cat, Trust Extreme Power II catback. efini Y-pipe, polished Greddy intercooler tubing, Greddy Elbow. K&N airfilters (2). autometer A-piller mounted boost gauge. 10-8-10. engine runs really cool as power steering, airpump and A-C removed for airflow. all removed accessories accompany car on sale so buyer is free to reinstall. billet aluminum pulley kit slows alternator as well as enabling accessory removal. PEG includes moon roof, Bose, leather etc. other mods are Wade Lantham's hose simplification w silicone hoses, a non-heated upper manifold and double throttle elimination. new oil injection lines, clutch disc, transmission freshening at time of engine installation. car cover and bra included. car garaged and not driven in winter. long time mazda racer howard coleman did most of the installation and tuning. car show beautifully, runs very cold and is bullet proof mechanically.

Thanks!

1) downpipe replaces the precat which is only there to add heat to the engine compartment. you can pass emissions (which is the real reason behind it) without
2) maincat is not a mod
3) catback is the part of the exhaust from the main cat back. This is what gives the exhaust most of its 'tone'
4) efini y-pipe is a replacement for the stock y-pipe. The efini utilizes a bolt together construction instead of the coupler joint of the stock unit
5) intercooler piping is for looks, it flows a little bit better, and you don't have to worry about tears causing boost leaks
6) air filters just allow more air flow to the engine
7) boost gauge allows you to monitor boost levels
8) removal of airpump means that you can not and will not pass emissions in any situations and this means that his main cat is probably clogged so you will want to replace it with a midpipe asap
9) removed ac and power steering means you can not use the ac and power steering
10) pulleys don't do too much but allow for more common belt sizes
11) double throttle elimination is really double butterfly elimination which means you have to properly warm up the car before you start driving it...this allows more air flow to the engine

thats about it...he left of what ecu he is running so I would find that out as well

Probably the stock ECU, so he adjusted the pills to keep it at 10-8-10.

Howard Coleman really knows what he is doing. I've spoken with him before. I would trust his work.

if you do replace the cat with a midpipe you will have to also upgrade the ecu.

That'll set you back $1,000 give or take (but it'll be even faster )

Ok, sanity check...

Just tell me... am I crazy for driving 700 miles to buy this car (mentioned above) and to spend $18.5 gs on it? What's your opinion?

that depends on whether or not you want a car that has already been modded like that. Some may not enjoy the lack of AC, power steering, and airpump. If there are emission tests where you live it will probably not pass. However if this is what you are looking for you are not crazy.

Nice. Go for it.

Make sure you have enough left over for a high-flow cat, then put the airpump back in. Then you'll pass emissions and can drive it on the street.

You probably want a fuel computer if it's not equipped. Then you can really take advantage of those mods.

didn't the PEG come with the rear spoiler??? and that car also has the r-1 chin spoiler......about 18.5 and 700 miles...i would keep looking....700 miles...you don't want to drive that far and find out there is something wrong with it....what about turbos??? if not replaced already they will need to be soon (85,000)....
