The dream that came true.
Hi guys! Name is Nathan. I've been a member of this forum and researching RX-7s since i was 13 years old and have wanted an FD RX-7 since i first saw one when i was 8. Anyway well today it came. I just bought a 2000 Mazda RX-7 RS. 49,000kms (30kmiles) stock standard never been registered in Australia before. Needless to say i'm shitting myself with joy. Worst 6 days ahead of me as the registration process will take a week and I cant pick it up till then. Anyway enjoy a pic! And ill see you all around!

Looks really nice. Congrats.
An FD is not an easy car to drive, especially for a young driver. The second turbo comes on hard. If you are accelerating in a corner when the second turbo comes on, it can make the car spin out very easily. This makes it very easy to wreck the car. I cant tell you how many stories I have heard about people wrecking their dream cars because they were not "ready" to drive them. I guess what I am saying here is: BE CAREFUL!!!!! You have officially been warned!!!!!

funny thing is the very first day I got my FD I didn't know anything about the 2nd turbo coming on. Went into a left turn trying to beat the oncoming traffic and gave it too much gas and right about 4k the tires broke out, luckily I knew to just let the gas out and recovered fairly easy. Was scary though for the first drive in my FD lol, so definitely don't go crazy the first day.

Congrats! My only advice to you is to have a very detailed plan/goals on what you want this car to be. Don't go buying every mod out there because its very easy to get carried away and get expensive. As you can see, their is a reason why most people don't have running FD's =)

Thanks guys. Thanks for the corner advice too. Luckily I am 22 not 18 though so not quite as retarded :p.
Do not all fds have a dimmer? Because I found a picture of one and mine is not there.

I couldn't see the dash lights at all unless I put my hand around the gauges and it was like it was all the way dimmed (daytime on a sunny day) Is this a common problem? Search hasn't shown anything the exact same.
