Still wondering about exhaust wrap vs ceramic though. Any thoughts?
Well I have never come across anything of the sort. I know that an intake manifold leak can cause an irratic idle (maybe that was it?). Because even when I've had exhausts leaks coming from the turbos coming apart and though it was rather loud (and stinky) my idle remained fine.

exhaust wrap vs ceramic? I haven't done it so I can't comment on it. Other than try searching because I remember reading threads about that same subject.

Easy choice. Exhaust wrap is the better insulator. The factory uses formed metal shields with a small air gap inbetween the two surfaces, which is also very effective and a technique that should not be overlooked.

I did testing on ceramic thermal barrier coatings a few years ago, and while they provide nice, durable finishes, they are not great insulators. They [ceramics] were developed for and are best for surfaces where it is impractical or impossible to use or attach conventional insulation.

That is a FANTASTIC sounding exhaust system, pity about the price/cost of shipping to the US...
