downpipe = Front pipe?

I visited some japanese performance websites and couldn't see any company offering downpipes. They have something called a front pipe intead. Is front pipe and downpipe same? if no whats the difference?

a downpipe is the forward most pipe that comes off the turbos so I would say yes but I don't know for sure.

Yes that is what they call it. Most of the Jap pipes that I've seen are 2 to 1 , Where as most Yank pipes are just one solid piece.

I think he means that it starts out as 2 pieces and then they meet to form 1 pipe
