Question is can i use the black/red and black/orange wires that powered the old bose amp as speaker wire untill i get them inside the car? a fair amount of power will be going through them around 140watts is why i ask,

I bought 16 gauge speaker wire and the b/r and b/o wires appear to be the same size ???

I really don't understand you can't get your speakers to fit or you can't get wiring to them?

I think you're going to have a hard time fitting 6.5s in the doors. I installed Boston Pro50s(5 1/4) components and they barely fit, and it took a good ammount of work at that.

For wiring, don't use the bose wiring. Just drill some new holes and run rubber conduit between the door and chassis. Also, drill the hole on the door lower than the chassis. Just in case you get water in there, it's run to your door and not the car's interior.

FWIW, I am currently installing my stereo and it has 6.5 Infinity Kappa fronts. It fits with speaker brackets and two spacers just.

I put 6.5's in with no problems. Hell, you could prolly fit 8" component subs back there... (as long as they're thin)

You could go with the stock wiring.. but I never felt right about doing that, lol.
To make things easier, take the pin off the door hinge. That will give you more room to mess with.
Use a coathanger (cut it up of course) and tape your speaker wires to one end
Slide it through.. prolly the easiest way to do it

It is a pita... so have some patience

Yes. you can use the stock wiring. just make sure you connect it correctly on BOTH ends of the wiring. i used the stock wiring to connect my aftermarket door speakers to my head unit.

also, try these for the doors (i think these might be for a smaller speaker size, but you could modify them maybe?):

i used these, and they work great.
