Vipers dont trap 123. Your getting the specs mixed up with the COMPETITION VIPER which you will never see on the street cause Dodge only sells them to race teams. They tested one in Car and Driver and it ran 11.8@123. The test can be found here....

A stock Viper traps 115-116mph, a well tuned 3rd gen can run and Viper and most of the other cars mentioned with no problems on the stock turbos with bolt on's

Hey Stephen. It looks the new Vipers ARE trapping in the low 120s now that they are broken in. I have seen GTS Vipers trapping between 117 and 119.
In any case, they are very fast cars and it would take a heavily modded FD to pull significantly on one.
And for all the people that say a modded FD will dominate the Viper on a road coarse -- it's obvious you have never been to a road event.
Yea, never said anything about a road event. Its just not my thing, I've never even been on a road course. Really though, from what I've seen it seems like driver is more important than the car.
I think on this a Viper and Vette has going for it that we dont is that HUGE wide *** tires. I'd imagine for racing applications with pro drivers, ect that our small tires would be quite a limiting factor or a road course.
