to dominate the viper..?
to dominate the viper..?
Hey whatsup everyone, I been talking to a few people in private message and have been told that getting a simple BNR upgrade to the turbos (I was thinking stage3) will easily allow you to blow away viper's .
What do you guys think? And how will it compete against ferrari's lambo's lotus's ?

I turbo upgrade isn't "simple" by any means. With a BNR stage three you are going to have to upgrade just about everything else to utilize their performance.
Do a search and you will see.

There is no "cheap" way to blow away any of those cars you mentioned. In fact the most inexpensive way to do so over the long term is to invest in just about everything as mentioned above, which is VERY costly up front. Large or FM IC, Entire fuel system, ported engine, Fuel management, lightened flywheel, improved clutches, upgraded turbos, full exhaust, brakes, suspension, water injection, etc etc.
No one part will provide that amount of horsepower without severely damaging others.
Others chime in, as the title states...I'm just a newb.

What happens when you stop running into stock vipers and such? There is a highly modded viper running around my town.

just remember you wont have the torque those V8/V12's are putting out down low where it counts most of the time, also remember that yes you must upgrade everything else as fd's are 10 year old cars as well as evething else which is to handle that much power. in anycase id rather get a single large turbo.

learn to drive first.....
then get a crappier car and learn to drive it fast
then sell your accord and buy a real car...
then worry about modding
can we stop bothering with these threads

Yes, BNR stage 3s with ALL of the accompanying mods will allow you to outperform *stock* new Vipers, Murcielagos, etc. Alot of this is magazine racing, as I don't typically run into these kinds of cars on the streets.
Alot of it is up to the driver.

You would need a well prepared 3 (or more) rotor car to run with the big dogs.

.... i know because i am one during the week
. but seriously how much torque/HP are we talking about to compete with the big boys of the viper club?? i know nothing about vipers except that they ripped off our double-bubble roofs, and some styling cues haha. ive finally started in on my 20b project and now youve got me wondering what it would take to beat the prepped vipers?? heath

i agree....... vipers pull more than 1g on the skidpad, those things will take you on a turn and kill you with its torque after the turn if you race it on the track........... now if you mod it? forget about it.... there is a reason why vipers beat pettit's 3 rotor fd in those 12 hour races
If you mod a 7 enough to hang with a Viper, you'll have almost as much money in it as you would a used Viper.
The difference, you'll get laid a lot more in a Viper.
