I cant say for an FD, but I did a swap on my celica.

Manual ECU, had to cut some wires off the auto harness and just sealed them off. Change out some pins and I wired the clutch start switch in a loop so the clutch pedal does not need to be depressed to start it.

Its nice like that because I can reach inside the car and start it after I make sure its in neutral.

2 minutes of searching plus looking at the stickies gets you that. Just so you know before you get flamed.

set aside about 3 full days, cause that's how big of a project this really is.

1. You do not need the manual ECU.
2. You will need a manual driveshaft and the plate which mounts the diff the tailshaft (if you keep the auto diff).
3. The only wiring you need too touch is the inhibator switch, reverse lights (not sure about cruise control).
4. 3 Days ? Crap. Maybe if you changing all the looms. I did it in 2 days on jackstands.
5. Be warned... The autobox is very heavy.
