does a big FMIC reduce max boost?

does a big FMIC reduce max boost?
i heard from some peeps that a big fmic will lower ur boost? i currently am using the apexi gt spec IC. the core is pretty big.

it can lower boost, some do maybe a 1-2 psi pressure drop
