Question Does anyone use one of these oil injector pump adaptors?

http://www.rotaryaviation.com/oil_injector_pump_adaptors.htm

It's an adapter for the OMP to not spray engine oil on the rotors anymore. You use a separate can with 2 cycle oil and hook this up to draw the oil from the canister.

I've been trying to get ahold of Richard Sohn, but his email doesn't work anymore and so far I haven't been able to reach him on the phone.

Well SOMEONE has used it, haha. I tried the email address in there too but someone in that thread said it doesn't work either. And I'm still calling and only getting a busy tone.

So, I thought about this also but then concluded that if my engine oil is "dirty" something is wrong with my filter and I am screwed anyway. If the oil filter is good then why bother with this? Is it because 2 stroke injected in the engine doesn't leave behind deposits like regular oil? If so, do we have proof of this or is it an urban myth? Experts please comment.

I do premix though...

Premix definitely burns cleaner than motor oil. I believe that is the point of this mod.

I was succesful contacting him this time. The email listed in the attached thread IS correct and he said that is still his phone number, so I state for the record that on this date the contact info in the thread I linked to IS still good.

Now that that's out of the way...I would rather give my engine every opportunity to live a long healthy life haha. Especially since this thing is only $88 and will allow me to inject oil that is intended to burn instead of oil that ISN'T intended to burn. Yes it's one more fluid to check during my daily checks, but that's alright with me. I'll have water injection fluid level to check too anyway haha.

Keep in mind with some single turbo setups this piece may get in the way of the exhaust manifold.

^Yeah I was thinking about how this would affect fitment of the 500R, not so much the manifold since I'm getting a short runner, but more because of the fitment of the oil return line from the turbo.

Kai, I'm surprised Rich isn't all over this too, since you guys never run out of stuff to buy HAHAHA. Eh, I'm the same way, I'll never be finished haha.

You mean another vendor selling the OMP adapter? Got any more info on that or how to DIY?
