Does anyone have instructions for install of Blitz SUS intake!
I am having trouble trying to find where to bolt the filter on to with all of the stupid little L brackets so if someone has them I would really be happy if you could send or post them to me

hey, I used to have this intake. I believe there are 2 L brackets correct? Anyway, the blocking plate should sit on the bottom and attach where the stock air box did. And the filter/tube with the bigger curve in it should sit closer to the driver and the other one directly next to it and below a little. The longer L bracket should go to bigger curved filter, and the smaller bracket to the filter underneath. PM me if that didnt help any. or IM me jm087

Sorry, no digital cam
I didn't use all the "L" brackets and only screwed in the left filter facing the car. Screwing the right one in doesn't let me rest the hood rod in the original location because the filter sits too high and the rod would dent the filter cone.
Facing the engine: the original intake box screwed in to brackets on the left side (LF & LR). You will reuse those but you may have to rotate them and even tweak/bend to align the holes.
If you have the original SMIC, then you still have the bracket in place on the R-rear and that should line up with the hole on the heat shield.
I'm trying to write this from memmory but I think that's as much as I did. (hope it helped)
I recomend sending at least the heat shield but both adapters as well would be better to Jet Hot to keep intake temps down. The have a wannabe polished coating color you can choose that's sort of a dull bling silver.

Trying to line up the heat sheild is a bitch. The holes do not match up with the chasis at all. Should I just zip tie them down or what other thing should I do. If I zip tied it down would they melt. Otherwise I do not know how to get that heat sheild in place. Please give me a response from anyone who know what to do
Thanks
Mike

You installed yours in a FD and the heat sheild lined up perfectly? Would zip ties work if it is not going to line up?
Thanks,
Mike

Use the pictures on the instructions
For the "L" brackets follow the pictures on the instructions. The heat sheild li
If facing the car, the left side of the heat shield rest on the stock mounts for the original intake box. I beleive the left/front closer to the bumber uses an L bracket though. You can loosen those mounts and rotate them to line up the holes.
If you have the "OEM" SMIC, then the right/rear (if facing the front of the car) should also rest on the stock mount. I'm not using the right/front hole.
The 2 filter adapters screw in to L brackets which were allready screwed on to the heat sheild. That's the hardest part and some people don't srew down the filter pipes. I screwed down the left one but not the right one as it is too high to snap in the hood rod without squishing the cone.
The heat shield is flat under the cones. Make sure you have it rotated correctly to line up the holes.

So those stock mount brackets can be moved so they line up with the heat sheild? And where does the front right bracket line up to?
Thanks

you can rotate them clock/counter-clockwise.
I'm not sure about the right/font hole, not using it. I have a Greddy SMIC and it's wider than the OEM.
There is like an "L" shaped cut on the heat sheild , so it's like a puzzle piece that butts up against the SMIC.
Does anybody alse have pics or better instructions than me?
