Does anyone else's profec b do this?

With the PB off, the motor makes around 9psi. Wich i like, but wish was a little lower. No big deal. With the prof. B on low setting, but turned all the way down, it makes 10-9-11 psi, witch is also good. But if you turn the little adjustment dial up just a little, then i got 13+ psi easy. Sometimes 14.5 on a cold night.

I was wondering is there any way i can fix this with the switchs on the back? I would look at my manual, but its totaly unreadable.

Any help would be nice. CJ

hey sorry but i have my own question... when i did my profec-b install i hooked up the stepping motor from one nipple on the y-pipe to one wastegate. i think that this is right but should i have also hooked up the output from the stepping motor to the second wastegate as well or is what i did just fine?

Of course i removed the waste gate pill. I'm using the line that came with the boost controler. As for the din switchs i have no idea, as the car is at my parents house (Inside a heated shop, with car cover over it.), and i'm 20 miles away righ now. But tomorow, i'll take a picture of the settings.

I could'nt tell you witch way its setup, as the manual is totally unreadable. You would think that they would atleast sell a product with some decent instructions. I also left the settings unchanged out of the box.

I don't know if you remember, but you helped me with the install too. I appreicate the help bacon. CJ

whered u run the vac line to the box from? no crimps or pinches..

i know it seems redoundant but check everything it never hurts..my guess is your din swiches are funked

18psi....is that normal? Actually, it would have gone higher, but i backed out of it. And this was just in first gear.

Something is not right here.

Tomorow, i'm going to re-install it....just to make shure its installed right....then if it still over boosts, i'm going back to valves, or pills. CJ

This is how I did mine, I don't think you need to cap off both lines, just the wastegate nipple.

So I followed these insturcions directly and it worked the first time.
There is a 4" line going from the turbo to the wastegate. Wastegate is the upper actuator, Precontrol is the lower actuator.

Take off the 4" line, run a new vacuum hose from the turbo nipple to the "in" on the black box, run a new vacuum hose from the "out" on the black box to the wastegate.

There is another hose coming off the drivers side of the wastegate that is kind of hard to get to, take the hose off and cap these 2 nipples off.

I ran my wires through the rubber boot were the stock wiring harness goes into the firewall, under the ABS and wiper motor.

I have no idea whats going on with my car.... I put it back together, took it for a spin and the car would do a 10-5-slow 10, but would run hard and fine in the next gear...so i put the needle vavle in it...and it does the same thing. But after this last time out, i noticed that the vacuum line from the Y pipe, to the black plastic pressure tank, (right before the check valve) had come undone...

So today i put it back together, but could'nt test spin it. So i have to wait for a nice day. I'm probably going to keep the profec b and use it when i find someone to go non-seq. for me.

I'm getting tired of this...

And yes, the other side was capped off, and the line to the ecu was'nt capped off.

ok, so does the line to the ecu need to be capped or not?

If you still get slow boost the turn the "sharpness" up on the Profec.

Check to make sure the IN and OUT of the solenoid are connected to the correct vacuum hoses. Also, in the manual it implies to 'T'-connect the WG and Prespool. Don't do that.
