Question Which do you guys suggest?

So im definitly buying an FD because Im totally obsessed with the car. I was wondering though if one year was specifically better than the other. From the research I have done it seems rare to find a 95 so I am looking at a 93 or 94. I have heard that 93's have some interior problems. Is there anything else that is particular to one year or the other??

How much research have you done? Are you financially prepared to own one? Do you know ALL the pitfalls of this car? Do you have another car for either a 1) Daily Driver, or 2) something to drive when the FD is down? This car is a maintenence heavy car. That won't change. Be ready to be spending a lot of cash on it. (not saying that will happen, but it's VERY possible).

EDIT--There have been probably 20-30 threads started recently saying "I'm getting an FD, help me decide about stuff", and then when they hear that they're so intensive to live with day to day and maintenence wise............they often change their mind. Good luck.

i can testify to that, the expense to maintain my fd was the main reason i sold it.

Find a good one and treat it right and you wont be spending that much in maintenace unless you start modding it to make it go faster...make sure to have a daily driver though because anything can happen....

- '93's have the peeling interior problem
- most 94's and 95's have the reinforced wheels
- If you get an R1/R2 the suspension is a little softer in the R2's
- The tach looks a bit different in the later models
- Supposedly the paint was a bit better in the '94 and '95 models (no clear coat cracking)
- There were some recall issues with the '93 models, but they should already be taken care of...
- '94's and '95's had a passenger side airbag
- the '95 models have R134a A/C systems

That's all I can think of off the top of my head...

Basically, the year doesn't matter too much, just find one that is in good overall condition.
