Exclamation DIY 112MPH Speed Limited Fix (RX7 series VI) - anyone know how? Diagrams?

What's the easiest and quickest way of doing this yourself

http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/delim.htm

My friend Steve has a Series VI RX7 he's just recently bought which still has the speed limited to 180km/h or 112 or so mph.

He's taking it onto a track later today - what should he do to stop the speed limiting kicking in? Disconnect the wiring for the speedo?

Is there a need to alter any signals to/from the ECU?
Could this be "whipped up" in a couple of hours with a soldering iron and a few electronics components?

Anyone have a diagram or document on how to defeat the speed-limiing feature on this Jap imported RX7?

Thanks in advance!

Andrew

For Jap market cars you need to reprogram your ECU or put a Speed Cut Controller to elimanate the factory 180km/h speed limit. If i'm not mistaken Greddy/Trust has this unit.
