Disconnecting oil cooler lines

I'm going to regrett asking this. But I've never removed oil cooler lines before.

For a couple days I've been soaking with WD40, I tried a quick release, wrenches and some other unconventional methods.

I havn't been able to disconnect the lines.

What am I missing?

They are stubborn. I've done it and after you get the snap rings out, you have a long way to go. The hoses are stiff and short and there is not much to get a grab onto them and force the joint apart. If the hoses are cold it's 10x harder. (I suspect new hoses are much easier to work with).
