Disabling the exhaust light and security light

So this light doesn't work when my alarm is set
It used to flash everytime its armed. One day it just stopped
Exhaust light will most likely never come on

Anyways. Is there any issue with unplugging thsse things ?
I have jdm blanks i like to put in.
I am run a PFC. If that makes any difference
Thanks

The overheat system is useless. There's a sensor under the passenger seat that is supposed to detect high heat and trigger that light. I don't think anyone has EVER had it go off.

The security light is probably related to a problem with your CPU#2. That has the security system in it.

All that said if you want to remove those and replace with blanks you can. Car will be fine without them.

The PowerFC can be set to light up the overheat light, but it doesn't light THAT light. The JDM cars had an overheat light on the instrument cluster and it lights that. If you want it to work, I have a writeup I did ages ago on making it work. it will blink the check engine light when you have high knock or high duty cycle.

I’ve had my exhaust overheat light light up. It’s always after I’ve driven the car hard and it heat soaks though. When I start the car back up it goes off pretty quickly.

The security light has probably a burnt out bulb ! That is what was wrong with mine went it quit blinking ! So I removed the exhaust over heat bulb and put it in the security light !
