Different types of 550cc injectors?

Hi everyone,

I did a search but couldn't locate the information I am looking for.

I bought six 550cc injectors from the forum classifieds, but I received two different types: a red top and a purple top. I need to have six of the red-top 550cc injectors to swap into my 2JZ-GE motor in a Supra. I ended up with two red and four purple.

What specifically do I need to be asking for to get my red-top injectors? And what injectors are these purple tops? I'd like to try and sell them to someone else since I cannot use them and want to make sure I advertise them correctly.

Thanks for any help you can provide!!!

I believe the purple tops are from jdm engines and the red are the us version. They should work and fit the same though. If you check the ohm rating they should be the same. Is there a reason you don't think the purple tops will work?

Sounds like you have a mix of low impedence and high impedence S4 TII 550cc injectors.

What are the Denso part numbers on the side of the injectors?

They arent the same size/shape, the lower part of the injector is completely different.

i cant help with the different type of injectors you have but japan2LA might be on the right course as i know the US and JDM 1jz are different one low other high imp. but i also know the stock FD rx7 550 wont fit the 2jz fuel rail unless you have an adapter ring for the bottom of the injectors. i believe sard sells em but dont quote me on that and they arent cheap like 150 for 4 making it cheaper to buy the right injectors first time once you send em off for cleaming and all. my roomate was looking into this for his 1jz and another friend of mine ran into the same problem when looking for injectors for his mr2 the mazda injector is different than the toyota so youd need a adapter.

Sure you haven't got a typo in there? 195500-2460 comes out of a FD primary rail and is 550cc.

Lot/batch/serial(?) Nos for secondary rail injectors are like that on the side of the injector, if there's a 2450 on the top of the injector...rather than the side, they're 850s out of an FD too.

If you like a bit of scrolling, there's some info here...nothing like that second number comes up....

or somewhat less here...and easier to find

The new Denso 550's are purple top side feed, the original OEM are tan. You should send them all out to be cleaned and flow tested. Post up pics of what you have.
