Difference of porting?

What is the difference between the peripheral (side) port and the street port? What is the advantege of each? I have a street port and i have the following mods. I have a cat-back, high flow cat, intake. What power should i be looking at?

You don't want anything more than a streetport for a car used on the street. You need a downpipe....you might be making 240 rwhp.

If you want more info.....try the search function, porting types is a basic question!
