is there a difference between the aftermarket, ie: rotaryextreme 99spec turn signal to the OEM ones??? I know the price is different by about $200 but is it worth it for the OEM ones

 

you mean RE 99spec compared to OEM 99spec?

 

There are small differences. There's a thread out there comparing the OEM ones and the ebay/knockoffs.

 

i didnt even know there were 99 spec knockoffs
maybe i just never clicked on the link and checked if its 99spec STYLE
arent they around 2-3 hundred dollars on ebay?
thats why ive alway thought they were authentic

 

I'd say just get the knockoffs. Its about $170 and they work great, no leak and perfect fitment.

 

I guess that $170 can go to something else

Interesting. What I find baffling about this report of the lens cover melting is that it's the turn signal light, which obviously doesn't stay lit for very long periods.

 

It's also the parking light.

This is the FEED kit I found and it has the OEM turn signals. I looked on 3 different search engines and found nothing. Could you post a link on just the FEED turn signals?


EDIT: Now that I look more closely, it might not be FEED. Look at the bottom of the FEED kit I just posted then look at the bottom of the one above. The lines don't match up. The one above is smooth all the way across while this one looks like splitters have been molded on. I don't know if I explained it right. Unless there are 2 different types.

 

It's the newer FEED bumper (Version 2R). That one is quite old and was replaced shortly after it was knocked off.

 

I checked one search engine and this was the top hit.
