did i just chuck an apex seal?
I have water injection, but havent been running it since it seems to rob some power, today i decided to hook it back up for carbon cleaning purposes. I did a 3rd gear pull and *CLICK*CLICK*CLICK* rapid detonation so I let off as fast as i could. My PFC Commander read 75 on the ping-o-meter. Which doesnt seem *too* high. (stock twins stock port).
I let it down to an idle and it was rough, she could barely run. I knew at that point that I had to have blown an apex seal. I limped the car back home, popped the hood, and took off the charge pipe to the throttle body. I then tried to crank it over, it ran for a few seconds than died.
I continued to crank, but what I found really odd was that I could hear the actual compression from one of the rotors. My spark plugs were tight in their place. So why the crap can I hear actual compression spitting out to open air. It sounded very much like if you took your plugs out and cranked the engine. Is this noise coming from the intake manifold?

i can hear a *puff* between 4 or 5 other regular compression when i hold the throttle plates open, but it goes quiet when the throttle plate is open. I would imagine that a blown seal would allow some backwash through the intake manifold. I'm waiting for my buddy to bring a compression tester, but I think this fact alone has sealed the deal on what went wrong.

i knew within 10secs when i popped 2 seals..fluttering boost gge reading rough idle and a pig to start when warm and shaking car
no amount of praying will make it go away and mine was only at 0.9 bar when it popped
poor flowing 1600cc secondary injector and split in vac pipe feading fp regulator and bing rebuild time
if i lived in the states i would pop the ls1 in like a flash and enjoy driving the car at the moment i spend all my time checking f/press/water temp/inteke temp/afr i am lucky i havnt crashed yet

welp our compression tester is broken, we verified that on a working engine, it has a hole in the hose. But audiably listening to each chug with the spark plugs out makes my friend and I belive that an apex seal is blown to ****. I would post video but I cant find my firewire cable.

only thing stopping me doing ls1 convi is all prices for the kit in the states is plus approx 23% for taxes this end and the availability of ls1/t56 a good pullout in the states are plentifull and about 5000usd..even hinsons do a turnkey job for 13000usd which is about 8000gbp sell ur bits for approx 4000gbp and u get a reliable motor and rx7 good loks for net cost 4000gbp..also only one peron in uk has done swap unlike in us hundreds
