Did a high speed run

I was really bored @ 6am in the morning so i decided to get up & go to SR27 (4 miles of road) and i did a top speed run

To sum it up once i hit 165 it started slowing down a little. Kept on going. No one around and the needle passed 180mph so i didnt know how fast i was going. since the needle only goes to 180

Kept on going & going until i decided to slow down. (must of been speeding for around 2-3minutes)

looked at my APEXI POWER FC and it said on the speedometer on the handheld 331 Kilometers per hour. SO basically at 6am in the morning i was doing 331 Kilometers per hour

180mph = I'll buy that

206mph =

The scoot FD barely made that with 750hp. Not calling you a lier, but you know there's something wrong with that Power_FC.

the car made 430 @ 12lbs & 478 @ 17.3lbs at 7300rpm. would have gone more but the jacobs ignition isnt giving enough spark to the motor.
Next time, Bring a video camera and record the run. I would love to see what the FD does going past 200+

If you started off around 160MPH and sped for 2 mins, you would of travelled over 6 miles! 3 minutes, close to 10 miles (topping at 200+ miles/hr)

I don't know, if you say 4 miles of road, I might have to raise the BS flag..

I've seen a vid of a 400rwhp FD pulling HARD to 170mph (from 40) in about 15 seconds, and it was REALLY pulling. Considering his mods I'd say it could be possible that he got considerably above 180mph. 206 is hard to believe b/c of the gearing of the car, but 180mph isn't some huge barrier.

Did you happen to catch what RPM you were at towards the end of your run?

I would **** a brick going that fast on the streets, you hit one pothole and you're dead, luckily when this happened to me, I only went 155 into the wall, escaped without a scratch.

Lets just say that was the last time I tried to hit my top speed

Please be careful

Yea and this is what happens to the car

Into the center divider, flipped onto passenger side, flipped onto the roof, slid, and then somehow ended right side up no front wheels, no bumper, rear wheels snapped as if they were plastic. Once I saw myself looking straight at the wall I just held onto the wheel and let it happen.

Im not doubting that the read out on the PowerFC did say that..... the accuracy however is debatable....

I had a read out of over 1100kmh on my RSM once, wouldnt of minded but i'd only just pulled out of my garage onto my drive!

It did give me a warming sense of satisfaction. Just proves these cars are incredibley quick these cars are!

It says he made 478, thats right along the lines of a new Z06 which tops out right below 200mph, 198ish. So 206 mph might be possible, but how accurate is the PFC at 200mph?? I would say 190mph is very possible.

I doubt he got even 190. Again, look at the distance calculations. Good catch on that Phil.

whats more accurate, the PFC or his 'guess' on 2-3 minutes. most peoples sense of time is really bad, especially when your nervous. and at 200mph your without a doubt nervous.

if you want to get really technical about it, he said he was 'speeding' for about 2-3 minutes. well i dunno about there, but the highways here are 65. so hes already starting off at 65.

... god damn were arguing about 6mph here. how big are your wheels/tires? im sure that has an effect. theres hundreds of possibilities that could account for the discrepancy.

Check this out. If anyone has the required inputs, you can guesstimate the HP required for a given top speed.

do you know why our roads suck more than the autobahn. our road are at most 12inches thick and the autobahn which just means highway is 36 inches thick and since our roads have breaks in them like every 200 feet or something means that there are bumps everywhere and the german highways have the lines like every 1000 feet or something like that. so if we spent money on our roads like they did then we would have awesome roads. and im also calling bs on the top speed

Speedometer accuracy is a pretty big problem if you are trying to find your top speed.

Your tires stretch in diameter, assuming they were stock to begin with. The error in your speedo (often 3-5mph at 60mph) gets amplified. Plus other effects.

Really the only way to know is to use a radar gun, or some other more direct reading. I dunno - can you get optical speedometers that work like those optical computer mice? I would think that might be a practical solution to someone who really wants to know.

I think that you are reading too much into it.

he clearly stated:

which indicates he lost complete sense of time.

to all of you that call bullshit: remember crazy dane?

check out how fast he gets up to top speed

Accuracy is what is questionable here that is all.

my friend(ratincat) got ticketed for doing 210. his FD made 415rwhp at the time.
