Diagnostic vid. First start in 3 years. Problems?
I bought this car last year as a project and wanted to start it to keep it from locking up and check the condition of the motor. So after replacing the fuel pump and jumping the pump in the diagnostic port I now have fuel pressure. After draining the tank I filled it up with premix I made with cam2 which has a 104 octane rating? Thinking the pump relay is bad and that is why I have to jump it? Anyways after starting the car I realized that the tach isn't working and the temp guage keeps climbing. If I shut the car off but keep the key in the on position the guage drops almost all the way so it looks as though the temp sensor or guage cluster is bad I replaced the fuel pump, plugs, fresh oil and filter and sprayed fogging oil in the housings a few days before starting it. I primed the fuel system and the car started very easily. The first start the car let out very very minimal smoke and I'm sure that was the fogging oil. The aluminum housing where you fill the coolant up will not hold water to the top but it will hold water about an inch below the overflow hole. The overflow/ast? tank is full. If I fill the aluminum thing up it looks to be draining above the water pump or at the pump. The system seems to be full I pulled temp readings all around the engine after seeing the guage. The housings and radiator are showing 120f. I don't know what is up. I think the cluster might be bad but wanted to check what you guys have to say? Help is GREATLY appreciated. Please see the vid. Thanks

none of your gauges are working correctly: no gas. oil press through the roof, no tach. don't know why but having the cluster mildly connected may be an issue. I just flipped through the Body Electrical Troubleshooting Manual sec C1, couldn't find a description of your problem your gauges go all (some slowly) or nothing. check the meter fuse, ground located between a/c control and glove box and your connections. Didn't see if you have a battery in the car?
If your going to have the tank repaired by tig welded, consider welding the ports one would do for an AST removal.

There is no battery in the car its on jumper cables but the alternator is working. Haven't checked the meter fuse.the cluster has a good connection. Tripple checked that. Might try grounding the dash bar. But dont think it will do anything. Pretty sure its the ecu. Ill find out this weekend.
