Deleting Primary Rail?

Deleting Primary Rail?
Any input or opinions from anyone who has or who have looked into deleting the primary fuel rail with a Ground Zero/Xcessive Lower Intake Manifold and fuel rail with four injectors?
Any idle or staging issues?
Pictures if you got them would be great.

I've done it, using 4x ID1000 injectors in the Xcessive LIM. I used the Racing Beat injector plugs: they're designed for the earlier cars but you can trim them down a couple of inches to the correct length (diameter and o-ring pattern fits the FD center housing).

Posted more photos on another rotary forum, can dig up a few more if you want to see anything in particular.
No staging issues, but I'm running an AEM EMS and if you have something else that may be an apples vs oranges comparison.
Idle quality is not the same as with the stock primary injectors; seems like it needs to be richer and even then it occasionally stumbles, this could be the fault of the not-very-experienced tuner (me) also. Throttle response at low RPM (below 2500) seems a bit poorer as well. From what I'm told this is because of the injector location, I hear that others have gotten the ID1000's to idle nicely when in the OEM primary spot (haven't tried myself though).
Advantage is the fuel lines are very simple, and all the injectors are the same if I ever feel the need to keep spares on hand or swap them around for troubleshooting purposes. I mostly wanted to see if it could work. For a dedicated race car I think it would be fine.
From doing more research after the install, I've been told that the stock (and Xcessive) mounting locations are not ideal... I hear it would be better to locate primary injectors at the outside of a bend so they can point directly into the port rather than spraying at the outside of the bend. This might not be very feasible, since it may require mounting injectors near the exhaust manifold and/or turbo(s).
