Defined Autoworks V-mount questions(2)

I'm in the middle of installing the Defined Autoworks V-mount set up and have removed or plugged most of the A/C lines. My question is what can I use to plug the openings in the A/C compressor? I don't want to leave it open to the world. I've found a lot of block off plates for different compressors(domestic) but none for my Denso. Anybody know which will work or have a better solution? Is removal my only choice?

Also, trying to find an intake that will work with my stock twins and think the Pettit Racing setup will. Anybody know?

Cold Air Intake TKT RX7

I did search but if the answer is here I can't find it.

Thanks for the help!

You don't need a cold air intake with a V-mount... the IATs will be plenty cold.

Are you not going to reinstall your A/C hardware? If not, then you should just remove the compressor.

Thanks for the reply!

I am planning on reinstalling the A/C at some point later on. I also didn't want to extend this project by getting a new belt and a tensioner and learning how to use it. It looks like this might be my only option since I don't know how I'm going to plug it. Boo! I'm thinking about reinstalling the lines and just capping them.

I have changed my mind on the intake. I was interested in it because it had connections for all of the hoses coming out of the stock air box. Since then I have learned what each are(BOV, CRV, EGR, air pump) and that they don't need to be plugged into the intake and can left open. The fact that it was a CAI was coincidence. Now I think I'm just going to get the CXRacing intake pipes and just stick some filters on them. Do I sound crazy about that? Any way to clean those other hoses up?

Thanks again for the help!

All considered you'd probably be better off just pulling the compressor for the time being.

I would think any aftermarket intake would work fine. Pick someone with decent filtration, though.

So new belt and a tensioner, and learn. I'll see. I found the belts at RX7store. I've never done something like this before. Get to learning!

I'll do my best to pick a good filter

Thanks for your help!

K&N is also respectable, but it's not maintenance-free. You've gotta clean and oil them every once and a while. OTOH, Apex'i filters need to be replaced like stock filters.

Basically all the other aftermarket filters...don't.
