Update: I cleaned up all the screws and the connectors at the back of the flexy board and I bent the tabs outward to make better connection with the harness connectors. I reconnected the cluster, started the engine and all three small gauges fuel, oil and coolant temperature work fine. Then I connected a wire to the +12 screw of the tacho and connected the other end to B+ but no luck, the tacho needs servicing. If anyone has a spare tacho, just so I can check the signal is ok, I will return it in the same condition. Would really appreciate it. Attached are few picture of the working gauges and the
back connectors.
I think I am going to try repair odometer, speedo and tacho circuit board, I found a very good blog post how to do it and I am not lacking soldering skills:
All the above are untested and some have corroded flexi-boards or burned out odometers. I am curious how many complete working units can come from this collection.

Hey Redbul, I would be happy to clean and test them for you, since my harness is open and looking for a cluster PM me if you are willing to send them over to me for testing.
Sent the collection to one of the specialists named above. He was able to recover seven fully functioning units out of the nine, plus a collection of working gauges from the remaining two that could not be fully rebuiilt.
This is a terrific result and very encouraging for anyone thinking of fixing a "dead" cluster.

Stay tuned.
Good for you. Out of curiosity what are you going to do with so many clusters? I sent mine to Michael Gagne and in the meantime i bought a spare JDM one to match the car i have. Now also looking into digital options for my PFC ECU as well as hand commander OLED replacement.
I'm kind-of late to this party but I had the same problem. Most importantly the odometer (~45k) was broke and I nearly had a heart attack. Found an article about replacing the caps (same thing happens with TVs Stereos, etc). After doing that the cluster came back to life.
