Need mileage reading from uninstalled gauge cluster -possible?

I am in the process of selling my rolling chassis and want to write down the exact mileage on the title. Unfortunately, dash it out of the car along with the battery, battery terminals ect. Does anybody know how to power up the gauge cluster outside of the car?

Shouldn't be hard. Just look at the wiring diagram, probably just needs 12v and ground to power up the cluster. You could easily do that with alligator clip test leads (available at Radio Shack) and a spare battery.
