I have the same problem. They come on/off when I hit bumps. Usually not on. Problem has been getting worse. I know it it very common. I think it has to do with soldering connections on the back of the gauges. Do a search........and tell me what you found

Do you have any aftermarket gauges with the illumination tapped into the ash tray light? If so, I'd look there first.

As simple as this may sound, have you checked to make sure you just haven't dimmed them out using the dimmer switch?

Dimmer Switch

I had the same problem when i first purchased my rx7. Check the dimmer switch, mine wasnt even connected and after i connected it cured all of the problems.

At first i thought it was a bad ground or something, because when i turned on the lights it would dim the odometer and the lights wouldnt turn on.

Hope this helps

Randy

Hey guys..having the same problem and don't have that nifty cover on the fuse box saying what fuse is what....Can you give a hand and point out which fuse it is that controls dash lights.

Thanks

i think this has to be some kind of grounding issue. my car worked fine before i did my single turbo conversion and engine swap. now, i have no interior lights, no horn, and no parking lights.

If I'm not mistaken it is a fuse that staes cabin or something like that?? I'm pretty sure it is the only one that is raised out of the small fuse box. I'll check later and get back to you.
I had that problem and it was only the fuse. You also might be SOL and blew all your bulds but I doubt that

I had a very similar problem. The problem was the old aftermarket car alarm. Everything was great untill the one raining season and the inner lights in the dash went out along with taillights. I fixed it by pulling out the fuse for the aftermarket alarm. Good luck.

check the relay that is next to the battery and drivers strut tower and make sure it's plugged in tight.

sorry to bump this thread but im having the same problem.

heres the scoop: no parking lights, no instrument cluster lights, and no HVAC illumination or blower, and one last thing turn signal stick switch malfucntion ( headlights work but the tun signal switch cannot make the motor raise the headlights up)

oo i checked all fuses and are all good

i was told that my turn signal switch is toast, and change the dimmer on the a/c panel

any help would be awesome

Do the headlights pop up with the manual button?

If your headlights come on but don't pop up then check the "Retract" relay up in the front relay box. You can swap it with the TNS relay but it sounds like that one is blown too.
